I'm
Kristian.
My working life began on building sites in Blackpool in 1986. What started with general labouring grew into decades of experience across construction, commercial electrics, industrial systems and quality domestic work.
My journey
A career
built by doing.
I've worked from the ground floor to the roof, and from domestic alterations to complex industrial systems. Every stage taught me something I bring to our customers today.
- 1986Chapter 01
Where it began
I started work in my teens for my father’s building company in Blackpool, beginning as a general labourer and learning the value of doing a job properly from the ground up.
- 16–21Chapter 02
Finding my direction
I left school at 16 with no grand plan beyond finding work. I moved through a number of jobs around Blackpool, building resilience and practical experience along the way.
- 21Chapter 03
Into the electrical trade
At 21, I joined the global electrical company ABB as an electrician’s mate. That opportunity gave me a route into skilled electrical work and a career that took me far beyond Blackpool.
- 21–25Chapter 04
Working nationwide
I went subcontracting around the country, installing commercial and industrial electrics. The work demanded precision, reliability and the ability to adapt quickly to very different sites.
- NextChapter 05
Local sites, wider experience
I later joined Smiths of Kirkham, working across building sites, nightclub fit-outs, bars and restaurants. This was also where my experience began to expand into fire alarm systems.
- IndustryChapter 06
Complex systems and major names
I moved on to a building and electrical fitting company and worked across factories, construction schemes and production lines, including fire and suppression systems associated with names such as Honeywell, BAS, Siemens SBT and TYCO.
- 2021Chapter 07
